About Malignant Mesothelioma and Potential Sources of Exposure
You may have been exposed to loose asbestos or airborne asbestos fibers
in any number of work-related situations. See list
of industries/jobs. Products manufactured with asbestos and installed
between 1890 to about 1980 may include roofing and siding
materials, walls, ceilings, flooring, pipes and boilers. Any materials
related to fire-proofing during that time period are also likely to have been manufactured with
asbestos.
Some materials used in these applications contained more asbestos than
others-the amount can vary from 1% to 95%. Below is a general list of
the types of materials that contained asbestos and date ranges for which
you should be looking that could cause asbestos
cancer.
Specific materials and date ranges that can potentially
cause malignant mesothelioma
