Alimta study

Study of ALIMTA (LY231514, pemetrexed) in Combination with Cisplatin for Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma Patients Who Have Not Received Previous Chemotherapy.

Sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company, this study is currently recruiting patients. It is designed to advance clinical experience with ALIMTA and to collect additional safety information for this group of patients.

To be eligible for this study you must 18 or over (both genders are eligible), and:

  • You must have a proven diagnosis of pleural mesothelioma
  • Your performance status must be 70 or higher on the Karnofsky scale

Exclusion Criteria:

  • You are not eligible from this trial if you are a candidate for curative surgery
  • You are not eligible from this trial if you have received prior chemotherapy for mesothelioma
  • You are not eligible from this trial if you have received any investigational agent within 4 weeks before enrolling in this study
  • You are not eligible from this trial if you have received radiation within the previous 2 weeks
